When Salt Bae announced he would be opening the latest branch of his lavish Nusr-Et steakhouses in West London’s swanky Knightsbridge neighborhood, it’s fair to say a lot of people were very excited.
This latest branch will be the chef’s first in the UK following successful launches in New York, Dallas, Boston, Mykonos, Dubai, Istanbul and Los Angeles.
The Insta-famous chef was supposed to be flinging open the doors at the Park Tower Hotel in May but a series of delays and setbacks, mainly due to covid-19, have forced him to delay.
To build excitement for the launch Salt Bae announced that his iconic gold-plated Tomahawk Steak will feature on the new London menu. How much does it cost? A cool £700 (just shy of $1,000).

This isn’t the first time that people have been left baffled by Bae’s prices.
One disgruntled diner at Nust-Et Miami went viral after posting a picture of the obscenely high cost of his meal there, the below bill was for just six people.

I don’t know about you but that’s about 50 times higher than I’ve ever paid for a meal before but then again, Bae’s super high-quality steak does look out of this world.
What’s the most you would ever pay for a meal?
