When it comes to late night snacks after a boozy night out, options are pretty limited for vegetarians and just don’t hit that greasy spot. Well, now there is a cheese kebab that will not only satisfy veggies but pretty much anyone that loves cheese (which is everyone right?!).
So introducing the Cheebab, the world’s first kebab made of rotisserie cheese. This big hunk of cheese which originates from Switzerland, slow-turns on a spit with crispy strips shaved off to form a cheesy kebab.

Munchies were fortunate enough to chat with the inventor, Roland Rüegg of local Zurich dairy farm Natürli, to find out about the creation and of course the taste. Rüegg states that he created the Cheebab just to be a veggie alternative not a meat kebab replacement, with the entire cheese production process vegetarian friendly.
He explains the production process took about a year, using new production processes and dairy goods. The recipe itself is a total secret, so no one will be able to find out how the cheese doesn’t melt immediately on that spit.
In terms of taste, it is said to have ‘a combination of cheddar, halloumi, and Raclette’. Dreamy. With it reported to be well seasoned and strong, but not overwhelming it only makes me want to try it even more. Mouth is officially watering!
