Dancing With The Stars alumnus Julianne Hough has an incredible body and she isn’t afraid of showing it off. So fans of the star were in for a treat when she told People magazine her typical daily food intake which helps maintain her lean figure.
As a dancer and actress, it is no surprise her diet is super healthy but what Julianne detailed only amassed to a measly 1,526 calories. Check out the detailed log below:
4-6 glasses of water a day
Pre-workout (before breakfast)
Green juice with 1 cucumber, spinach, kale, pear, celery, carrot, green apple, ginger, lemon, and beets
Two steamed eggs over easy, with sliced avocado and sliced tomato
1 cup of English Breakfast Tea with skim milk and Stevia in the Raw
Apple Pie smoothie: 5 raw almonds, 1 red apple, 1 small frozen banana, 6 oz. fat free plain Greek yogurt, ½ cup almond milk, ½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast, over mixed green salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, hearts of palm, almonds, edamame, banana peppers, and olive oil and squeezed lemon
6 oz. salmon baked with sliced lemon and rosemary, with olive oil and 2 cups sautéed spinach sprinkled with pink salt
4 dark chocolate covered almonds
Yes, you read that right. 4. It was at this point I shed a tear as I finished my dessert of an entire Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme bar.
Despite this carb free food log, Julianne explained to Us Weekly on a different occasion that ‘every single meal’ she chows down on includes carbs, arguing that ‘when you deprive yourself, that’s when you crave pasta and pizza.’
‘An ideal meal would be chicken, veggies and sweet potatoes. Everybody is so afraid of carbs – they talk about them in a negative way, like: “Carbs make me fat or bloated” – but just pick the right one and have a little bit.’
Julianne claimed carbohydrates, ‘make my brain click on and everything else is able to function. I thought they were my enemy, but they’re actually my best friend.’
Whether she has carbs or not, that is one restrictive and super clean diet. There is no doubt Julianne has an amazing body, but if thats all I could eat to achieve it, then no thanks. Life is too short not to live it. Now pass me the cheesecake!
