The world’s largest delivery pizza is crazy big

Pizza is hands down one of the most popular dishes in the world. Around 3 billion pizzas are sold in the U.S. each year alone. Pepperoni is America’s favorite topping (36 percent of all pizza orders); we eat approximately 251,770,000 pounds per year. Yikes.

There’s many wonderful things about pizza. Obviously is tastes great, and there’s so many different variations in toppings, bases, dough, cheese and dipping sauce that it never seems to get old. It’s also a super easy food for lots of people to enjoy at home.

There’s nothing quite like sticking a game or film on, sinking a few cold-ones with your friends and ordering a delicious pizza. Only trouble is, there never seems to be enough slices.. particularly if you’re a connoisseur of the green-stuff.

Taking customers feedback to heart, Big Mama’s And Papa’s Pizzeria in California decided to ensure that nobody would ever go pizza-hungry again by creating the world’s largest deliverable pizza.

Made up of 20 pounds of dough, five pounds of cheese, and three pounds of pepperoni, if that is your topping of choice. The resulting nearly 6-foot-square pizza is then cut into 200 pieces, enough to feed 50 to 70 people, who hopefully prefer middle pieces over crust-side.

Here she is in all her glory:

Of course being the era of internet trolls, viewers of the crazy video were quick to do the maths on it.

YouTube commenter NOT BASIC points out that it’s actually not a great deal from a financial standpoint:

This is a bad deal if you think about it (pies)*(slices) = 200 slices then compare price

Domino’s large 7.99 carryout deal (25)*(8) = 200 slices = 199.75+ Tax < 249.99 *also each pizza is 3 toppings!

Pizza Hut large 7.99 carryout deal (25)*(8) = 200 slices = 199.75+ Tax < 249.99 *also each pizza is 2 toppings!

Papa Johns 9.99 Any Pan Pizza (20)*(10) = 200 slices = 199.80+ Tax < 249.99 *also each pizza is 5 toppings!

Little Caesars 5.00 hot n ready deal (25)*(8) = 200 slices 125 + Tax < 249.99 *Pepperoni or cheese.

I could technically get 400 slices or 50 pepperoni pizzas from Little Caesars for the price of this meaning its double the value!

Whether you think it’s worth dishing out silly money for this giant pizza or not, you’ve gotta consider how funny it’ll be seeing this incredibly delivery-vehicle pulling up outside your house:
