Woman Tries To Prove Her Dog Is Vegetarian On Live TV. It Doesn’t Go Well

This Morning, one of the UK’s most popular breakfast shows, really is a gift that keeps on giving. Known for funny / awkward celebrity interviews, on-screen presenters with a hangover and other laugh out loud moments – with this latest incident falling well within the latter category.

Dog owner Lucy Carrigan hit the headlines recently when she claimed her husky was a vegetarian, and moreover, didn’t even want to eat meat. Hmm. Understandably eyebrows were raised at her nature-defying belief, and so she was invited onto the live TV show to put her theory to the test.

Carrigan claimed her husky, whose name is Storm, turned off from her regular food during the summer and Carrigan took that as a sign that Storm wanted to be a vegetarian. She began swapping out Storm’s meaty meals for vegetarian dog food and leftover veggies.

This Morning decided to put this to the test when they invited Carrigan and Storm onto the show and offered the husky both a meat and vegetarian option. As you can see in the below video, the results left Carrigan red-faced…

Oh dear.

In response, Carrigan said:

“Oh you little… I didn’t swear. In fairness, the weather has cooled down quite dramatically. During the summer months, she just went off her food, strangely. I’m certainly not one of those – I’m not vegetarian, I’m not a vegan – far from it. Though I’ve reduced my meat consumption.”

Nice try! This is probably my favorite TV moment since a Fox news host ate a steak while interviewing a vegan on Live TV. Yep, that actually happened.
