Mark Wahlberg’s Daily Workout & Eating Routine Is Absolutely Ridiculous

Mark Wahlberg is something of a phenomenon.

Not many would have predicted the former rapper known as Marky Mark, who had a decade long beef with Eminem, would grow into become the highest paid actor in the world in 2017 thanks largely to roles in “Daddy’s Home 2” and “Transformers: The Last Night”.

Away from the big screen the Boston native is equally as successful. His long-term, lucrative contract with AT&T is worth tens of millions and he also owns a successful chain of restaurants called Wahlburgers.

So how does he do it? One answer is his incredible determination and work ethic. Both of these qualities are perfectly highlighted when you take a look into his daily food and workout routines which the actor recently shared on his Instagram. Spoiler: it even rivals Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s insane diet!

2:30 a.m. – wake up

2:45 a.m. – pray

3:15 a.m. – breakfast: “I start out with steel oats, peanut butter, blueberries and eggs for breakfast,” Wahlberg shares in a video. “Then I have a protein shake – Performance Inspired Nutrition Vanilla Latte Shake – three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato”

3:15 a.m to 5:15 a.m. – workout: Reverse lunges, vertical presses, overhead presses and cardio work

5:30 a.m. – post-workout meal

6:30 a.m – shower

8:00 a.m. – post-shower meal: “At 8 o’clock I have about 10 turkey meatballs”

10:30 a.m. – “I have a grilled chicken salad with two hard-boiled eggs, olive, avocado, cucumber, tomato, lettuce”

1:00 p.m. – “I have a New York steak with green peppers”

3:30 p.m. – “I have grilled chicken with bok choy”

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – “I have a beautiful piece of halibut or a cod or sea bass. Some sort of white fish.”

The results of this intense eating and workout schedule are there for all to see:

Now obviously we don’t all need to be doing this kind of workout to be successful. But there seems to be a correlation between incredible work ethic and some of the people really succeeding in the world. Wahlberg says it best:

“The only way to be the best is to keep working like you got nothing. Keep getting after it, and be more and more aggressive, more and more focused every day. I don’t know. I have more drive and desire now than I ever have.”

Good on you Marky Mark!
