Fox News Host Eats Steak While Interviewing Vegan Activist On Live TV

Fox News is a divisive news channel known for having strong right-leaning views. Whatever your view on Fox, one thing they’re great at is delivering talking points. This clip delivers exactly that.

Fox News host Jesse Watters invited Penn State University lecturer Anne DeLessio-Parson onto his show to debate whether meat reinforces gender stereotypes.

DeLessio-Parson published the following thoughts in a recent journal:

“I contend that in such a context, we cannot separate the ways people ‘do vegetarianism’ from how they’d do gender,'” Anne DeLessio-Parson wrote.

“Doing vegetarianism in interactions drives social change, contributing to the de-linking of meat from gender hegemony and revealing the resisting and reworking of gender in food spaces.”

“Vegetarians defy attempts to hold them accountable to gendered social expectations,” he wrote. “Women, for example, assert authority over their diets; men embody rejection of the meat-masculinity nexus by adopting a worldview that also rejects sexism and racism.”

Jesse Watters decided to spice up the debate by tucking into a medium-rare steak mid-conversation and right in front of his vegan guest.

You can watch the bizarre moment below:

As a steak lover I understand the need for a quick bite, but this seems a trifle unnecessary to tuck in mid-interview. What’s your thoughts on it?
