Watch a woman crush two 72-Ounce Steaks in 15 minutes to smash world record

Food challenges are one of those rare things that amaze and freak me out in equal measure. Whatever your thoughts on eating absurd amounts of food quickly, you can’t help but be impressed by this woman devouring two 72-ounce steak in less than 15 minutes.

According to Amarillo Globe-News, a competitive eater from Nebraska took on The Big Texan Ranch challenge and completed it in record time. Eating a 72-ounce steak is just part of the challenge that includes a baked potato, salad, two bread rolls with butter and a shrimp cocktail – all of which must be finished within one hour.

Big Texan co-owner Danny Lee said it best when describing the achievement to Amarillo Globe-News, “If there’s a zombie apocalypse, I want to stay away from this girl.”

You maybe surprised to learn about Molly Schuyler’s slight frame: the competitive eater weighs just 125 pounds and is 5-foot-7. As Danny Lee notes, “she’s one of the daintiest, smallest ladies I’ve seen try the 72-ounce steak.”

Don’t let her size fool you.

Schuyler has completed numerous steak challenges all across America. In January, she took down 363 wings in 30 minutes winning a cool $22,000 in the process. That very same month she broke another record in by devouring a 70-ounce steak in Portland, Oregon, in under three minutes.

One steak she’s unlikely to be tucking into any time soon is olive wagyu. The rarest steak in the world is on sale in the U.S. for the first time in history tomorrow, but getting your hands on a taste isn’t going to be easy. You’ll have to sign up to the local food delivery service, Crowd Cow.

Crowd Cow is the awesome service that let’s you buy your favorite cuts of beef straight from local farmers, and in doing so bypassing the big supermarkets. If you get the chance to sign up to the service then I seriously recommend it, and who knows maybe you’ll be chowing down on the world’s rarest steak sooner than you thought.
