By Gordon Ramsay shocked fans by posting on his Instagram that he was going to ‘give this vegan thing a try’.
As a lover of all things carnivorous, with a history of being vocal towards plant based eaters, it seems unlikely Gordon has made this drastic dietary and lifestyle change.
The food in question is a vegan pizza, with a grilled vegetable topping and no vegan substitute cheese. It seems said pizza will soon be featuring on Gordon’s menu at his new restaurant which opened last week.
The central London ‘Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza’ eatery will offer ‘bottomless’ sourdough pizza as well as a range of cocktails, craft beers and DJs. This venture is certainly a diversion from his usual food styles, instead appealing to a younger generation who want their food, drink and entertainment combined.
Ramsay said: “If there’s one thing I believe it’s that pizza doesn’t need to be complicated. So, let me introduce you to simple, delicious bottomless pizza – served by the slice so you can enjoy as much of each of our signature toppings as you like. It’s pizza without rules.”
