We recently reported how a bodybuilder nicknamed the Iranian Hulk challenged a fighter via Instagram to enter into an MMA fight with him, despite only just moving into the discipline. His call was answered when his equivalent in Brazil – the Brazilian Hulk, accepted his challenge. Now, planning is in progress and the fight is definitely on. This is going to be the fight of all fights.
Sajad Gharibi, 27, is a whopping 6ft2 tall and weighs 390lbs originating from Iran. His opponent is Romario dos Santos Alves, 29, who weighs 229lbs and originates from Brazil. Gharibi wrote on Instagram:
So I’m finally accepting my first professional fight from a Brazilian fighter before 2020Instagram/Sajad Gharibi

Be brave and Invite me to fight. rather than hiding behind your sponsors, I am ready to fight you, show me what you’ve got to say in the ring هدف تو مبارزه نیست هدف تو دیده شدن در رسانه هست تو هرگز روبروی من نمیتونی قرار بگیری بهت پیشنهاد میکنم این ریسک نکن مجسمه بزرگ رستم دستان و رخش
When the challenge was accepted, no one knew if it was just in jest but now we have a timeline that this fight is going to happen in and fans can’t wait.
When they meet, the Iranian hulk will have an advantage in both weight and height (160lbs and 6 inches) but Brazilian hulk has been training hard and leading a healthy lifestyle since overcoming a severe reaction to synthol oil injections which saw him almost lose an arm. No doubt his ambition to continue training hard will increase when he sees Gharibi’s Instagram page. He regularly posts pictures of himself next to items to highlight how large he actually is – not frightening at all…
With it happening before 2020, there really isn’t much time to wait to see which hulk is the true superhero. When we hear a final date, we’ll be sure to update.
